The day started with a zany and odd match between Fabio Fognini against Albert Montanes and it changed the mood of the day, as it seemed like almost anything could happen after the Italian sort of fought off five match points in his 4-6 6-4 3-6 6-3 11-9 victory over the Spaniard.
