 Had this match been played two years ago it might have been more interesting, but the Russian is clearly on the decline. A fine start to the hard court season for the Serbian.

The Frenchman is an established all court player. The same cannot be said for the Brazilian.

 Gael Monfils d. Alex Bogomolov Jr. 6-2  7-6(5)

The American is having his best season ever, but the Frenchman began to catch fire last week in Washington and should be a tough out the rest of the summer.
