tennisreporters.net celebrates two-year anniversary

Two years ago, tennisreporters.net opened its online door and began providing innovative reporting on the pro tennis tours.

We're still going strong and are getting stronger.

Led by the experienced tennis writer Matthew Cronin and the veteran journalist and webmaster Ron Cioffi, tr.net has grown into one of the most respected voices on tennis.

Readership started as a trickle two years ago. Today, a large and regular readership visits the site on a daily basis and our site counts a valuable clinets and partners Foxsports.com, WTAFans.com., TennisOne, Matchpoint and Tennisresorts.com.

Last November, our site began a subscription service. Subscribers receive 60 newsletters a year via e-mail, along with a steady source of subscriber-only stories and access to our two-year archive of commentaries, scoops and newsletters. We keep adding subscribers on a regular basis and try to enhance what we provide our subsribers on a weekly basis.

Our site also provides the outstanding tour photography of Susan and Fred Mullane of Camerawork USA, Inc., and other photographers. Additionally, we offer reporting and commmentary from numerous respected tennis writers, including England's Alix Ramsay and Eleanor Preston and the U.S.'s Douglas Robson.

Regretably, one of our originial partners, Sandra Harwitt has resigned from the site this week. Below is her letter to our readership.

Dear tennisreporters.net readers:

As many of you might be aware, this Roland Garros marks the second anniversary of tr.net. The site has come along way in very little time and garners a great deal of respect within the tennis community as well as with tennis fans.

There is no doubt that tr.net will continue to grow and become an even stronger presence as a journalistic endeavor with partners Matthew Cronin and Ron Cioffi at the helm. As you may have noticed I didn’t include myself because at this time I am stepping away from tr.net to pursue different avenues within the sport, which includes my recent appointment as tour editor of Tennis Life magazine.

While I will no longer be involved with tr.net on an official level, I'm sure I'll be clicking on to check in with the site along with other tr.net supporters.

To my former partners and tr.net readers, thanks for the ride!
