Give Steffi more respect
I often visit your site for tennis news.
To my surprise I saw an article on one of tennis' greatest legends, Steffi Graf. The article was about her recent split with her manager.
As I read the article, it became apparent to me (and others who have since read it) that it was sarcastic and malicious in tone. The break with her manager could have been written in two short paragraphs without the editorializing at the end which made the writer seem uninformed and negative.
For the author's information, she is also doing quite a few advertisements for T-mobile in Germany. She recently launched a line of bags (pictures of those handbags are on display in top-class German hotels). Further, she still does business with Bertlesmann in Germany.
The fact is she remains one of the most popular non-players in the world despite her so-called "invisibility" which the author sarcastically mentioned.
Sorry if I was a bit harsh. I am a bit sensitive when it comes to Steffi Graf as I feel that she was never handled fairly by the American media.
