Matthew Cronin  
   

Matthew Cronin has been covering pro tennis for the past fourteen years. He is the managing editor of the California-based Inside Tennis magazine and has been the main English-language writer for official Grand Slam web sites, including Rolandgarros.org and USOpen.org. Cronin is also a regular contributor to Reuters and last did the play-by-play on the first web radio broadcasts of the US Open finals. A former co-president of the International Tennis Writers Association, Cronin resides in Moraga, Calif., USA, with his wife, Patti, and their children, Cassandra, Connor and Chiara.

Ron Cioffi heads KRC Communications, which produces tennis magazines, advertising, brochures, graphic and web design for the tennis industry. Ron serves as a member of the USTA Southern Public Relations Committee and formerly served in a similar capacity for Middle States. He has worked as vice president/senior art director for Bank of America, assistant managing editor for The Bakersfield Californian, art director and production manager for Inside Tennis and design director for InfoWorld magazine and The Scranton Times-Tribune. He served as an assistant professor of graphic design at North Georgia College & State University. Ron holds a master's degree in Journalism from Michigan State University and his photos and reporting have been published in Tennis, Newsweek, The Washington Post, American Photographer, TennisLife, Net News, The New York Times, Yankee, Goal and Connecticut magazines. Ron lives in Johns Creek, Ga., USA, with his wife, writer Kathy Des Jardins, and sons, Will, Luke and Jack.

JOEL DRUCKER: Joel Drucker is one of the world's best know tennis writers. His stories have appeared in all of America's leading tennis publications, including Tennis, Tennis Week, USTA Magazine, Tennis Championships Magazine, People, Men's Journal, Forbes FYI and Cigar Aficionado. A piece he wrote on Pancho Segura was cited in the annual anthology, "Best American Sportswriting," as a notable sports story of 1995. In 1999, he was honored by Tennis Week as "Writer of the Year." OUR HISTORY
TennisReporters.net was founded on May 25, 2001 as we began with coverage from Roland Garros.

Founding partners and co-owners Matthew Cronin and Ron Cioffi continue to bring you original reporting on and commentary of professional tennis.

TennisReporters.net won the 2003 USTA Media Excellence Award, Broadcast Media, becoming the first web site to be so honored. The site was also nominated in 2002.

Former partner and co-founder Sandra Harwitt resigned from the site in May 2003.
