BREAKDOWN: DJOKOVIC VS NADAL, AUSTRALIAN OPEN FINAL

Djokovic goes for 7 straight vs. Nadal.

HEAD TO HEAD: 16-13 Nadal, but Djokovic has won their last six meetings, all in 2011 finals: 3 on U.S. hard courts at Indian Wells, Miami and the U.S. Open; two on clay at Madrid and Rome; and one on grass at Wimbledon. Prior to 2011, Nadal had taken the Serbian down in all four Slam contests they had played

2012 AUSSIE OPEN FORM: Both have been generally excellent, although Djokovic faded slightly in his tough four set win over Lleyton Hewitt (the Aussie has to be given credit for playing brilliantly at times) and nearly lost control of his semifinal against a zoning Andy Murray, but hung tough at the end. Nadal sputtered badly in the first two sets against Tomas Berdych, and started slowly against Roger Federer, but locked in toward the middle of both matches and was very fierce inside the baseline and out wide.

WHAT NOVAK HAS TO DO: Essentially what he did in 2011: batter Nadal
