Sharapova won her first huge clay title
Once again, Djokovic thumped Nadal on his favorite surface 6-4 6-4 on to win Rome and ran his unbeaten run this year to 37 matches. It was the fourth Masters Series final in a row that he has beaten Nadal in the final and the second on clay.
