Martina Hingis’ camp denies accusations by her estranged husband that she, her mother, and stepfather assaulted him at their home in Switzerland.

Hingis' former husband, Thibault Hutin, is said to be in the process of filing a complaint following an incident at the couple's apartment in the village of Feusisberg, where Hingis no longer resides.

Hutin told the Swiss tabloid Blick, which is known to occasionally pay for interviews, that Hingis, her mother Melanie (who is believed to be over 60 years old), and Mario Widmer (a former sports editor who is believed to be more than 70 years old) had "beaten” him, and as a result the Frenchman said he was so scared that he had fled to back Paris.

“That is utterly ridiculous,” a source close to Hingis told TENNIS.com. “Martina, as always, has chosen to take the high road and she is not going to speak anymore about it.”

The 33-year-old Hingis and 27-year-old Hutin are currently involved in a divorce proceeding and it has been reported that he is seeking a substantial sum of money from the former world No. 1.

Police confirmed to AFP that  has “started the process of filing a complaint, but it hasn't been finished yet.”

Hingis is currently in Tokyo to take part in a 30th anniversary celebration for the WTA tournament there. She has yet to decide whether she will continue to play doubles on the WTA next year.
